The new Rudy Giulaiani fundraising letter came in the mail last Friday.....
So the new letter is interesting in that it states that Rudy Giuliani is always ranked 13% ahead of all other GOP candidates. It also firmly puts Hillary Clinton down as his main opponent, not the other contenders in the GOP race. Doesn't he have to beat them first???
The letter spends several paragraphs on HC, her plans, and why she will be President without a strong GOP candidate. Of course that must be RG according to this letter.....interestingly the campaign also says that HIllary's campaign has been targeting Rudy's campaign...none of this is information that has been widely shared...which begs the question, is it true?
It's hard for me to believe that Hillary is wasting that much time on Rudy Giuliani when she still needs to knock off Barak Obama...likewise it seems foolish on RG's part as well. Although it does seem like good fundraising, find an enemy that is well known, and scare people into giving money to stop them...it is also easier to focus on Hillary than risk hurting the GOP by talking about other GOP candidates right now and vice versa for Hillary...
At the end it says that Hillary Clinton singled out Rudy because he is the one who will beat her...okay. That's debatable because of their similarities....
The letter also spends a reasonable amount of time fighting the naysayers who criticize his time in New York as mayor. He talks about a balanced budget, reducing welfare,cut crime, and most importantly advocates his low tax policies...and says that HIllary called paying high taxes 'patriotic'.
At least he is stating his plans for the future, instead of just attacking Democrats..but any candidate who focuses too much on attacking other candidates at this early stage, instead of promoting their own work and ideas..risks ending up like..well Sam Brownbeck, a good candidate who spent so much time attacking Mitt Romney, that no one knows what he wanted to do, or cares much now...the public only spends so much time figuring people out before the move on.....
